For our next retrieval from the archives, we go back seven years when the Basque Love God, Iñigo Calderón turned up at the Old Steine basement studio on a filthy March night to talk about his journey from northern Spain, via Gillingham, to Brighton. This show was recorded two days before the St Patrick's Day Massacre. ENJOY.

    23/03/2020 Duración: 58min

In the first of our released series 'From The Archive', we rewind to April 2010, when former Argus Football Correspondent John Vinicombe joined Richie, Ady & Al in the Old Steine studios.  John, then aged 81, came in to talk about his 30+ year-career at the North Road newsroom, and his relationship with every manager from George Curtis to Liam Brady.

  • The Albion Roar - 21st March 2020 with guest Joanna Hunter

    20/03/2020 Duración: 23min

With all food now being rationed by selfish Supermarket Sweep bastards, Al wandered the 300 yards over from his home to Piglet's Pantry to see how they were getting on at the time. Founder and owner Joanna Hunter spent around half an hour telling the Piglet's story, and what's happening with the all-new service offered by the world's best pie maker.

  • The Albion Roar - 14th March 2020 with guests Kieran Maguire and Paul Barber

    14/03/2020 Duración: 59min

With a higher league football shutdown in operation, football finance expert Kieran Maguire and Albion deputy chairman Paul Barber join Ady & Al to discuss this implications not just for the club, but for the supporting suppliers and staff.

  • The Albion Roar - REVERBATHON 2020 SPECIAL

    09/03/2020 Duración: 52min

For the first time ever, Ady & Al broadcast The Albion Roar live from a pub. The Hope & Ruin in Queens Road, Brighton were good enough to host Radio Reverb for a whole day, while we went about raising funds for this brilliant community asset. Joining Ady & Al were Andy Bass, 'Goatee' Phil Jones, and Charita 'Momma Cherri' Jones. You can still donate to Reverb which, seeing as there is an extra incentive for you to do so, this may well be worth checking out.

  • The Albion Roar - 29 February 2020 with guest Adam Stenning

    29/02/2020 Duración: 01h02min

The Argus' new sports reporter Adam Stenning joined Ady & Al in the studio to talk about the Sheffield United game, VAR (but of course) and the silly idea of a Premier League Hall of Fame. Shirt of the Week is from Down Under.

  • The Albion Roar - 22 Feb 2020 with guests Justin Brentnall and Di Cunningham

    22/02/2020 Duración: 01h02min

Back after our 'Winter Break', Ady & Al are joined by Justin Brentnall to discuss, among other things, the Watford game, Arsene Wenger's offside proposal, the history of Sheffield United v Brighton. Proud Canaries' Di Cunningham also joined us in the week of Justin Fashanu's induction into the Football Hall of Fame. Shirt of the Week is Rainbow-tastic.

  • The Albion Roar - 8 Feb 2020 with guest Werner Schröer, Lido Schuffelers-Bron, Andy Lewers and Bob Booker

    09/02/2020 Duración: 01h58s

A mad West Ham game, an opinion or two from a fan of the day's opposition, plus a view from the Netherlands of the Premier League, and Davy Pröpper in particular. Plus the ex- Asst Gaffer, Bob Booker joined Ady and Al on the line. Shirt of the week was from Chile. Again.

  • The Albion Roar - 1 Feb 2020 with guests Brian Owen and Marcus Hancocks

    31/01/2020 Duración: 01h30s

The Argus' Brian Owen took time out from a mad day to join Ady, Al and Marcus in the studio and discuss the press' view on the ludicrous circus that is Transfer Deadline Day. Plus Shirt of the Week is from an OLD club.

  • The Albion Roar - 25 January 2020 with guest Matt Potter

    26/01/2020 Duración: 01h01min

Two disappointing results - a draw against Aston Villa, and an away defeat at AFC Bournemouth - have left Brighton fans feeling nervous of imminent relegation with a third of the season to go. Albion fan Matt Potter (no kin) joined Ady & Al in the studio to consider this.

  • The Albion Roar - 18 January 2020 with guest Attila The Stockbroker

    26/01/2020 Duración: 59min

A very wheezy John Baine, aka Attila The Stockbroker, arrived (a tad late) at the Open Market studio to join Al in chewing over his thoughts on how modern football was affecting his view on the Beautiful Game.

  • The Albion Roar - 11 January 2020 with guests Steve Agace and James Wharton

    11/01/2020 Duración: 01h02min

A dissapointing FA Cup defeat, Albion fan Steve Agace joined Ady & Al in the studio to contemplate the game, and consider far worse FA Cup exits. Plus Ady had a natter with James Wharton from The Toffee Blues podcast ahead of the match at Goodison Park. Shirt of the week really takes the biscuit

  • The Albion Roar - 4 January 2020 with guests Marcus Hancocks and Peter Smith

    05/01/2020 Duración: 01h51s

The first show of the new decade features band member Marcus joining Ady & Al in the studio to run the rule over the Christmas games, while ranting a lot about VAR, and praising the renaissance of Ali J. Former Albion full-back turned agent Peter Smith spoke about his time at the club, and the role of agents during the transfer window. More Double Dutch for shirt of the week.

  • The Albion Roar - 28 December 2019 with guest Andy Bass

    28/12/2019 Duración: 01h07min

The two middle-aged blokes reminisce - sorry, look back on - 2019, its downs and ups. And we look back at an incredible decade in the Albion's history, while Andy and Al offer their player of the decade, and their goal of the decade. Shirt of the Year is worth its accolade.

  • Interview with Louis Myles

    22/12/2019 Duración: 12min
  • The Albion Roar - 21 December 2019 with guest Louis Myles

    22/12/2019 Duración: 58min

For the penultimate show of the year, film director and producer Louis Myles joined Ady & Al in a noisy Open Market to discuss the frustrations of the Palace game. Plus Louis, a former assistant producer on Match of the Day, gave a few insights as to how the programme works during the whole of Saturday. Also, BT Sport commissioned Louis for a new film - 'Stop The Tour' - to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the anti-apartheid protests against the 1970 South Africa rugby tour to England. Shirt of the Week is from Sverige.

  • The Albion Roar - 14 December 2019 with guests Matt Potter and Kieran Maguire

    14/12/2019 Duración: 01h01min

Omnipresent football football finance expert Kieran Maguire joined Ady in the studio to mostly not talk about football finance. Matt Potter, Ady and Kieran discussed the Wolves game, and ran the rule over the best Albion midfielders of the 2010s. Shirt of the week left Ady and Matt giggling like schoolchildren.

  • The Albion Roar - 7 December 2019 with guest Andy Bass

    07/12/2019 Duración: 01h04min

On this week's Roar, Andy Bass comes in to discuss the Liverpool and Arsenal games, we discuss the best defenders of the 2010s, and we have a fabulous competition.  This week's show is dedicated to the memory of Tracey Allen, former director at Reverb, who sadly passed away this week. Tracey was a great source of encouragement and support for the show and a real live wire on all matters Reverb-related. In the wider community, she was a true champion of Brighton's volunteer sector, and well... a lovely person. Shirt of the week sent Ady Double Dutch.

  • The Albion Roar - 30 November 2019 with guest Jason Thackeray and Neil Atkinson

    30/11/2019 Duración: 01h02min

Ady & Al were joined in the studio by a returning Jason Thackeray to discuss the Leicester City game, and who our favourite goalkeeper of the 2010s was. We were also joined by Neil Atkinson of Liverpool fans' podcast Neil Atkinson to discuss the upcoming game, and to comment on the David Duckenfield Hillsborough trial. Shirt of the Week was for Teenage Armchair Fans only.

  • The Albion Roar - 23 November 2019 with guest Brian Owen

    25/11/2019 Duración: 56min

The Argus' head sports writer swung by a noisy Open Market to talk about the season so far. We heard from a (pretty accurate) Leicester fan about their set up and lofty position, and we paid tribute to the Albion's Lewis Hammans. Shirt of the Week was from a city about which Phil Shelley could find nothing to piss him off.
