"Because I live, you also will live... Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy" (John 14:19, 16:22). Rejoice, Jesus is risen, just as He said! Jesus conquered the last enemy, and that enemy is death. Death has lost its sting, its pain. When Christ rose from the dead He demonstrated there is life after death. Jesus was the first to come to new life, and because He lives, we can live also. To us, Easter is not death but resurrection. 'God has given Him the Name which is above every name... And He will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.' (Philippians 2:9, Isaiah 9:6) I love to boast about my Jesus. My God is the greatest, most powerful, most wonderful God in the world. And He loves you! Jesus is the King of Peace - He brings peace to those whose lives have been ravaged by war; peace flows to those who are sick and in need of a healing touch; His perfect peace will minister to your soul as you put your faith in the Prince of Peace. Politicians like to boast about their military power, they have parades celebrating their might and influence, but I want to tell you, 3000 years ago, God destroyed the most powerful army in the world when He deliverd Israel out of Egypt. "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone should hear My voice and open the door, then I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me" (Revelation 3:20). Jesus wants to become your friend, part of your home, part of your family. God is not just somebody up in Heaven; He sent His Son into the world to reconcile us back to God. What a miracle! I want you to understand that to Jesus there is no problem He cannot solve. In your life today, God had the solution even before the problem arose; He sees the end from the beginning. When this Roman Centurion in Matthew 8 came to Jesus saying, "My servant is critically ill", Jesus responded, "I will come to your house and heal him". What an amazing statement, Jesus the Son of God, the creator of the universe, wants to come to your house and solve your problem! Jesus won't reject you or dismiss your need, He's concerned about you. Jesus wants to become your friend, part of your home, a member of your family. What is faith? Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things you do not see. Faith is not something intellectual in your mind. You can't learn faith in university. Faith is learnt through the experience of life. It is only through trials and tribulations that you learn the power and effectiveness of faith. If any man be in Christ he is a new creation, the old has gone, and the new life begins. You are not reformed, rehabilited or re-educated - as a believer you are re-created. Your old sinful life is dead and buried. You've been born again into the Kingdom of God. You are a new creation - literally re-created - all past mistakes and sins forgiven, you are made new! Ephesians 2 teaches that we are saved by grace through faith. Our salvation is the gift of God. You can't earn salvation. You can't buy salvation. Salvation is a free gift to those who put their faith in the finished work of the cross. The good new is, you don't wait until you die to receive eternal life, you have it now! Sin and sickness are not from God. The purpose of the first coming of Jesus was to make a way of escape from the evil which Satan, and ultimately man, by his disobedience, brought into the world: "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, to destroy the works of the devil!" - 1 John 3:8. However, this is only in part today, none of us is perfect in ourselves, we live in a world of sin and sickness and are surrounded by them. When Christ returns we shall be taken out of this world into the Kingdom of Heaven, then there will be no more sin, sickness or death. Until then, walking by faith, we must overcome sin - and temptation - and sickness. The Bible makes it clear, the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life. Just as we receive wages for the employment we undertake, so spiritually we receive wages too: if we choose to work for the devil and live in sin, our wages are death - if we choose to work for God and follow His commands, our wage is eternal life. '"I brought my son to Your disciples, but they could not cure him." Then Jesus rebuked the sickness, and the boy was healed at that very moment. Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?" The believer who has not yet moved a 'mountain', has not yet begun the real task of the ministry; Jesus rebuked the disciples for their unbelief in Matthew 17 and said, 'If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, "Move from here to there," and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.' I challenge you to begin to act in the power and authority of your faith. In Matthew 17, when Jesus - with Peter, James and John - came down from the Transfiguration, He found the other disciples at the bottom, unable to heal the boy possessed by an evil spirit. Jesus said two things: firstly, that this kind only comes out by prayer and fasting; then secondly, He rebuled His disciples' lack of faith, saying that if they had faith as small as a grain of mustard seed they could command this mountain to move. God the Father, put in the Name of Jesus, all power, all authority. There is only one name under heaven by which men can be saved, healed and delivered, the Name of Jesus! I've not had an easy life: in 1964 I had throat cancer, and in 2003, lung cancer; who did I call on to deliver me: no, I didn't call a healing evangelist or a pastor, I called on the Name of Jesus, and He healed me. Our deliverance is in the Name of Jesus; it isn't the sound of the Name, but it is the authority which is in His Name that saves and heals. Physical healing is an integral part of the atonement. It has been bought for us, together with our salvation, through Christ's suffering and death. Isaiah 53 states clearly that 'He was wounded for our transgressions... and with His stripes we are healed.' As Christians, we believe that our sin was taken away and the penalty was paid by Christ's suffering and death. In 1994 as I ministered for three months in Siberia, a lady pleaded with me to pray with a sick relative in the hospital. There was one man who told me that his back was broken, so I laid my hands on him, immediately all the pain left, he straightened himself and got up and ran off to make a cup of tea for me. By now the news of what God was doing was spreading, and another man who was almost blind came from a different room. As I laid my hands on his eyes, they opened and he could see. Someone brought a Bible which was by the side of one of the beds and he read it excitedly, shouting in his enthusiasm for all to hear, "I can see, look I can read!" John the Baptist was searching for the Messiah; he was always talking about this Man who would redeem the world. I believe that John was searching in the same way that many of you are searching. He wanted to know the truth. He wanted to know reality. John had heard about Jesus, so he sent His disciples to ask, 'Are You the Messiah, the One who will redeem the world?' John's doubt might have arisen from his own circumstances. Like John, I too have been in prison, left feeling abandoned and forsaken, but through it all, there was a hunger deep in my heart for Jesus, to know the reality of His power. I don't want empty religion or ceremony, I want Jesus, the Son of God, who can break every chain and set me free! They came to Jesus and asked the question, 'are You the One we've been searching for?' Jesus turned to them and said, 'Tell John what you have seen: the blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the Good News is proclaimed to the poor.' - That is your answer. 'The disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed His Word by the signs that accompanied it' (Mark 16.20). God has power, greater than anybody else; I've seen phenomenal miracles in my own life and ministry because of the power of God. The only evidence of the existence of God is through the miraculous: by faith we understand that the world was made, by faith we see miracles of healing. I cannot heal anyone, Jesus is the healer. When I am on crusade I dare to say, 'If what I am preaching is true, that Jesus is the Son of God, who died and rose again, then miracles will happen when you call upon Him.' And each time, the Lord confirms His Word by the signs that follow. I want to challenge you: when you know Him, when you REALLY know His character, as you would know a friend, then you will do exploits (Daniel 11.32).  'We worship and adore You' by Vinesong www.vinesong.com

Jesus said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My Name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." After the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. 'Jesus asked, "Who do you say that I am?" Peter answered and said to Him, "You are the Christ."' (Mark 8.29.) Jesus is not a babe in His mother's arms, nor is He just a prophet or only a good man, as some suggest - He is a God of power, of action, of authority. He's a Man real men can admire and follow! In churches I see images of Jesus as a powerless dead man on a cross. I know Jesus died, but when they put Him in a grave, it couldn't hold Him, the power of the Holy Spirit came into His dead body, He broke open that grave, He came out, He's alive! What kind of man is this? The grave cannot hold Him - the wind and the sea are obedient to Him - no demon spirit in hell can stand against Him - no human can resist Him! I want to challenge you to come up higher, to a new level of faith! Mark 11 is so revolutionary, so powerful, it has changed my life! Jesus saw a fig tree full of leaves and He went to it hoping to find some figs (v13). But He found nothing but leaves. So what did Jesus do with the fig tree? He cursed it. The following day, Peter saw the dead tree; Jesus said to him, "Have faith in God! If you don't doubt in your heart but believe that what you say will happen, you shall have whatever you say!" Let me challenge you: if you speak in faith and authority according to the will of God, and don't doubt, you will be healed, your family will be blessed, your financial burden will move, even if those things are mountains in your life! If you believe God, trust Him until He answers you! When you pray, believe that God will answer, believe for miracles, believe in the power of God. God never fails! I have been serving God for 75 years and my testimony is this, He has never failed me once! If I live another 100 years, God will never fail me! God cannot fail. God answers prayer! No, my life has not been easy, but through it all I've learned to trust Jesus and depend upon His Word. God Himself has said, "I will never fail you, I will never abandon you"; that is why we can say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid."
