The second in the series God is, Sam stretched our minds to grapple with the concept of Eternal God. God offers us the chance to know Him who stepped into time to save us.

The first in a new 4 part series looking at who God is. The Bible reveals God as Holy and as His people we also are called to be holy: separate from sin and seeking His glory. 1 Peter 1:15 & 16

It is easy to ask the question - What about...? concerned over something we feel we sacrifice by obeying God. However the man of God answers - The Lord can give you much more than that. 2 Chronicles 25:1-9

Adam looked at how Jesus' death & resurrection transformed the life of Peter, & how Jesus also overcomes our failures today. We fail. Jesus does not. Luke 5:1-11, Luke 22:31–34, Luke 22:54–62, John 21:1-19.

The last in the iGeneration series was looking at the subject of sex: men as microwaves and woman as slow cookers. Is sex God, gross or a gift? How should this impact our lives as singles and married? In what ways is sex a model of the gospel? Genesis 2:24 & 25

Marriage and its place in society has changed much in recent years. The Bible teaches us to love - to be more than consumers to be covenanted to our husband or wife. Ephesians 5:22-33

Pete pointed out that it is so easy in the digital age to wear a mask - to pretend to be more than we are. The 3 tests Jesus endured in the desert were around 'I am what I do?' 'Am I what I have?' 'Am I what others think?' The Devil has been looking to rob identities since Adam and the start of the world. However in Christ we are significant, secure and accepted. Ephesians 2:10

Edward tackled the issue of work - created by God, whether voluntary or paid. He looked at the pressures, the pitfalls and the peaks.

Pete addressed the topic of singleness: there can be 2 extreme approaches to this - a dread of being single and an over desire to marry or a desire to be single with an under desire to be married. Instead we are called to be a gospel community that does singleness well. 1 Corinthians 7

Sam reminded us that everything on the earth belongs to the Lord - we are to be good stewards who invest wisely. The Bible clearly teaches we are to tithe but also that our giving should be fun and we will be rewarded. Matthew 25:14-30

The fourth talk in the iGeneration series looked at time: we can feel under such pressure due to work, parenting, technology, over committing and being proud. Busyness can ruin your joy, rob your heart and rot your soul. God is Lord of time and each day is a gift from Him that we have to use responsibly. Do not get distracted but do the most important thing - spend time with Jesus. Luke 10:38-42

Richard tackled the huge area of social media under the headings: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly. We must avoid the temptation to compare, show off and have extreme highs & lows - instead we are to be confident in Jesus, our lives built upon His blood and righteousness.

The second talk in the iGeneration series focused on the meteoric rise of Pornography with the internet, the warnings that are issued in scripture and the 5 steps to Freedom. Proverbs 5

Pete kicked off the iGeneration series looking at how such rapid changes in technology is impacting the way we live. How do we react to change? We are called to be salt & light. Matthew 5:13-16

Pete looked at the meeting of Jesus and Nicodemus. The intelligent, powerful Pharisees who recognised the teaching and miracles of Jesus have a chat and his life is never the same again. John 3:1-4

Pete looked at the healing of the 10 lepors and stirred us to be a grateful people: for all that God has done for us but essentially for who He is. Luke 17:11-19

Based on the healing in Mark 8 and the story of 2 Kings 6 Pete asked the question ' what do you see?" We are to be a church who walk by faith not by sight - fixing our eyes on Jesus. Mark 8:22-25. 2 Kings 6:8-23

Based upon the Parable of the Lost Son, Pete drew out 6 main points that we discover about God our Father: faithful, Active, Tender, Honours, Extravagant & Rejoicing. Luke 15:11-32.

Adam explains how the story of Mary Magdalene shows us how an encounter with the risen Jesus leads us to FAITH, comes through GRACE, & changes EVERYTHING. John 20:1-18

Edward looked at the genealogy of Jesus - born a King, as the plans of God had preserved over time. The Christmas story is more than just a birth but a life well lived and ultimately a life given on the cross.
