Episode # 0102 In light of the current conflict between Israel and Palestinian terrorists, Tony will have on the program, as his special guest, Pastor Barry Horner, author of the book, "Future Israel: Why Christian Anti-Judaism Must Be Challenged." Points of discussion will include: 1) Identifying and defining the major eschatological positions held by Christians 2) Why premillennialism is the eschatological construct with the most biblical support 3) The importance of sound hermeneutics when studying the "end times" 4) How one's eschatology can lead to an unbiblical and sinful view of Israel and the Jewish people  In the second hour of the show, Bart McCurdy will hit the streets of Redding, CA, for some "phone fishing."  

Episode #0101 Tony's guest for this edition of Cross Encounters Radio will be Kevin St. John, founder of Calgary Peacemakers. Tony and Kevin will discuss the recent Calgary Stampede Outreach. Part of the conversation will focus on an incident that took place on evening in dowtown Calgary, when a very angry heckler attacked and assaulted Tony. Christians are split about the incident. Did Tony provoke the confrontation? Should Tony have simply let the heckler walk away? Was Tony and Kevin right in deciding not to call the police? Does the fact that Tony's confrontation with the heckler drew a good-sized crowd who then heard the gospel when the attacker ran away have any bearing on whether or not Tony should have engaged the heckler the way he did? Are Christians using the incident as an excuse to justify unbiblical forms of evangelism and/or not being involved in evangelism at all? Tonight we interview Jimmy Coates of CARM regarding his recent review of "When Heaven Invades Earth," by Bill Johnson.  His thorough review of the book exposes more of the heretical teachings of the Bethel Church in Redding, CA. Chris and Rich will talk about redeeming the time given to Christians while we are on the earth.  Must Christians always be doing only the work of God?  Are there times when relaxation and entertainment are acceptable?  Is there a point where hobbies can become idolatrous and keep us from the work of God?  We will cover the week in news and take questions from callers and the chat room faithful.

Recently, the World Vision organization announced they would hire people living in same sex marriage relationships.  However, they immediately reversed that decision and issued an apology to those who support them.  Is this a genuine act of repentance?  How should Christians now deal with the organization?  We will discuss this matter.  Also, a recent pro-abortion display at the University of Michigan claims that the murder of children is actually a "life-sustaining act."  Should Christians allow their children to attend schools where such blasphemous acts are committed?  What options do we have?  These topics and a discussion on how and why should should be involved in the blogging world.

The University of Michigan is sponsoring an exhibit that promotes abortion as a "life-sustaining act." Tony and the team will talk about it........and they will try not to shout. In a span of two days, well known children's ministry World Vision went from having a biblical understanding of marriage, to endorsing same-sex marriage, to saying they believe the Bible is true. Tony and the team will talk about whether or not World Vision should have the trust of Christian people and their money. Why do Christians seem to struggle with discerning "discernment bloggers?" Some discernment bloggers are very good. Some are lost and bound for hell. And some Christians have a hard time telling them apart.

Pelagian heretic and "evangelist" Jed Smock came to UCLA to proclaim his false gospel to the students.  Tony was there and openly rebuked his false teachings.  We'll discuss who Jed is, what is pelagianism, and what it means to Christians in the mission field.  Chris and Rich will also talk about growing weary while doing good.  It is far too easy, and often too common, for Christians who preach the biblical gospel to grow weary.  Many oppositions, from post-modern pagans to resistance from fellow Christians, can drive the evangelist to the breaking point.  How does one combat this spiritual fatigue?  These topics and a discussion on the "Son of God" movie currently in theaters should make for an interesting show.  Join us this week.
