We're continuing our series of when Jesus met and this Sunday Viv talks about when Jesus met Thomas. Reading from John 20v 24-31, we look at what what Thomas' doubt was really about and how Jesus answered him with such grace. What is Jesus' response to our questions and how can we invite our friends and colleagues into more of Jesus' life?

For the second part of our series, Alexander takes us on the road to Jericho as Jesus comes into contact with a blind beggar named Bartimaeus. How will Jesus respond to this man's plea for mercy? We all have our own preconceived notions of who this man, Jesus Christ is. Was he God? Was he a prophet? Is he the promised Messiah? As Phil kicks off our series "When Jesus Met..." we'll be looking at who this figure Jesus really was and how people's lives were metamorphosized by merely knowing him. In the gospel of Matthew, Jesus expresses to his followers that the Earth is ripe for harvest -- essentially, that people are ready for God and His kingdom to break in. Jesus' response to this statement was to immediately send out his disciples into the world sealed by the very same power and authority he ministered with. In this week's podcast, Zeke re-introduces us to this very same progression. Will we respond as Christ did? The greatest challenge and yet greatest gift Christianity affords is to follow after Jesus. The truth of it is that we don't always know where that will take us or what we'll lay down in the process to see it through. This same mysterious Jesus walks on the shores of our lives each and every day inviting us into a life of trust and obedience. The results are always His abundance for us, for others, and the entire world around us. It is in this place of obedience that we will see the abundance of God manifested throughout our city.
