This week, The Doc analyzes the potential role of John Cena at WrestleMania 34, specifically looking at two options that would make sense within the context of the rumors flying about.  Also, he discusses the comments that Mick Foley recently made to NBC News regarding the lack of household names in WWE today; Doc found them to be astute and insightful and wonders if we shouldn't follow the Hall of Famer's lead.  Speaking of the Hall of Fame, the headliner of WWE's 2018 class should be revealed very soon and The Doc looks accordingly at some of the names that he really wants to see inducted (the "snubs" if you will).

This week, The Doc is feeling refreshed from the flip of the calendar.  He will be discussing his various hopes for thematic resolutions in the new year to some of WWE's biggest glaring issues from last year.  For instance, how about - in the interest of the current generation taking the next step - we get both a contemporary Royal Rumble winner and a Summerslam main-event limited exclusively to stars who debuted in WWE this decade?  Doc will also talk about the prospect of Alexa Bliss vs. Asuka, aided in part by the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble Match, as well as the Smackdown Live tag team division.  In perhaps the boldest part of the show, he will address the potential of Nakamura vs. Styles, specifically how he feels that Vince McMahon will "WWE it up" and how that might actually work if done correctly.

The Late Shift's Steven Bell presents his take on the best of the best as the 4th Annual Shifty Awards name the best of WWE for 2017. The awards will cover everything, from Best Tag Team/Faction to Moment of the Year, Storyline of the Year, the ever controversial Hero to Zero and Zero to Hero Awards as well as the hottest topics of the bunch, Best PPV, Best Match and Best Overall Performer. If it happened in 2017 in WWE, it was covered on The Late Shift and Steven is here to take one last look back at the year that was.

WCW: The Legacy Series - Fall Brawl '99

On this week's show Plan and Mazza take a look ahead to WrestleMania 34 and try to piece together a card.  The centrepiece of the show being Brock Lesnar defending the Universal title against Roman Reigns seems to be a foregone conclusion however there are plenty of other big players who they will be looking at.  With Dean Ambrose's injury Seth Rollins suddenly seems at a loose end and someone who will likely have a big role to play in New Orleans.  Braun Strowman's place in something big also seems likely but unclearly exactly where.  Of course on SmackDown you have AJ Styles and a challenger, assuming he will still be holding onto the WWE title at that stage. John Cena is also a lock for a big match come the Granddaddy of them all.  And then of course there's all the part timers who are likely to come back and steal the spotlight.
