Ep282 - Dual Exhaust in the Desert | #QatarGP
23/11/2021 Duración: 01h21minTune in for our recap of the F1 Qatar Grand Prix! The weekend was full of lots of numerology: + McLaren's 900th Grand Prix + Lewis Hamilton won on his 30th different circuit in Formula 1 + Fernando Alonso locked up the 2nd longest gap between podiums There was no safety car even with tires popping left and right because it was Aston Martin's weekend of course. Lewis Hamilton, Alpine, and Max Verstappen had stellar weekends while McLaren and AlphaTauri struggled mightily. Lando Norris had a late puncture, and Daniel Ricciardo had fuel issues. Nikita Mazepin was nowhere to be found all weekend. The stars of the pre-race festivities were the World Cup trophy and the cowboy kid in the anthem choir. First and foremost, Mut and RyGuy breakdown the very fun video that F1 finally posted of the free throw contest at the United States Grand Prix. Some drivers definitely surprised us with the quality of their shooting, and others downright disappointed. There is also some great news to get into as we discuss the WWE providing a “title belt” to Jamie Chadwick after she won the W Series championship for a second year in a row. The F1 “Overtaking Award” is getting very tight as we head into the final races of the season. Does Sebastian Vettel have what it takes to hang onto the top spot? Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz are nipping at his heels… Lastly, it seems that the Andretti and Sauber deal for a potential takeover of that F1 team has fallen through, which is unfortunate to say the lea

Ep273 - Analysis Paralysis | #TurkishGP
12/10/2021 Duración: 01h30minThings got greasy again in Turkey! Foul weather has been on the menu for several weeks now. Ever since the heavens poured down on Spa a few weeks ago, there has been many a wet session and race in F1 and the trend continued this weekend in Turkey. Michael Masi and his boys may have "water blasted" this track to improve the surface grip but it still made for an interesting weekend of tire decisions! Red Bull got things started with a very good looking special livery as a tribute to Honda. Elsewhere, the medical car has a bad case of COVID because both Dr. Ian Roberts and Alan Van Der Merwe were missing this weekend after positive COVID test results. Come Saturday's practice sessions, it wasn't just the track that was wet at times, but also Kimi Raikkonen's boots! Kimi had yet ANOTHER issue with his drink system in the car, you can basically set your watch to that happening at this point. Engine penalties galore again! Carlos Sainz announced early that he would be taking an entirely new power unit so he would s

Ep270 - 100 Emoji | #RussianGP
29/09/2021 Duración: 01h21minTune in for our breakdown of the F1 Russian Grand Prix! Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll kicked off the race weekend by bonding over Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Lewis Hamilton had some uncharacteristic mistakes when he smashed into his front jackman, banged the pit wall in Qualifying, and spun on his last flying lap. RyGuy correctly predicted Lando Norris' first career Pole Position. Max Verstappen took a new engine and clawed his way from the back of the grid to 2nd place. The Turn 2 polystyrene bollards were comical and allowed Fernando Alonso to make a cheeky move on the opening lap. We didn't have a Russian anthem but instead got a ballerina atop a spinning piano. Lando Norris looked to be on his way to a first career victory in Formula 1, but the weather had other ideas. We discovered that the slow pit stops are because mechanics forget to flip a switch on the wheel gun. Carlos Sainz finally got a proper podium celebration. Damon Hill decided to do his own podcast in the post-race interviews. Congratula

Ep269 - Reign in the Forecast
23/09/2021 Duración: 58minTune in for our preview of the F1 Russian Grand Prix! We open the Mailboxboxbox to revisit more listener messages about the Italian Grand Prix at Monza ranging from tuna pizza to the Maxxident. Superfan Ken also lays out his plans for the upcoming race weekend. There is lots of news coming out of the Haas garage, Valtteri Bottas states the obvious, and Kimi "the Iceman" Raikkonen makes his return to the track. Sochi is soaking wet with the garages already under water so be careful with your rain dances. Mercedes is hoping they "reign" this weekend to claim their 10th victory in as many Grands Prix in Russia. Ferrari is finally unleashing a hybrid system on their power unit, and Charles Leclerc will start at the back of the grid. What exactly is horsepower? What will Red Bull do with Max Verstappen's engine since he is carrying a 3-place grid penalty from the Maxxident? Can Checo carry the load if Max drops to the back of the grid? Which drivers will shine if we have a wet weekend? Will Nikita Mazepin put on a

Ep268 - Aston Martin Whitmarsh
21/09/2021 Duración: 49minTune in for an Aussie Mailboxboxbox and some breaking news! Listeners hit us up about how they're still buzzing and doing shoeys after Daniel Ricciardo's win at the F1 Italian Grand Prix. There were also more thoughts on Sergio Perez's tuna pizza. With only one seat seemingly available on the grid, the Silly Season rumors are swirling at Alfa Romeo. Antonio Giovinazzi and Guanyu Zhou have Italy and China in a bidding war. Martin Whitmarsh was announced as Aston Martin Performance Technologies Group CEO, and Larry Stroll is already demanding Championships and a 1 billion pound valuation in 4-5 years. Lewis Hamilton was spared injury in the Maxxident by the halo's London Bus vertical load requirement (or 109 Arnold Schwarzeneggers). Daniel Ricciardo spilled the beans to GQ about his race day diet, and it doesn't actually include beans. Of course, we inevitably discuss pee and poop around Esteban Ocon's piss test and Charles Leclerc's diarrhea. The last couple weeks have also been difficult for squirrels. Romain

Ep267 - Zak Brown Band Live | #ItalianGP
16/09/2021 Duración: 57minTune in for our recap of the Italian Grand Prix! Another sprint race weekend and another wreck involving Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen which we have appropriately dubbed "The Maxxident". Will we ever get to see those two go wheel to wheel and actually keep it clean? The boys discuss. McLaren is back! The boys from Woking finally got another win after a long 170 Grand Prix drought! Not only that, they did it in spectacular fashion with Daniel Ricciardo on the top step and Lando Norris right behind him in P2. Zak Brown is probably still partying and raiding someone's liquor cabinet as you read this. Elsewhere, teammate rivalries seem to be heating up! Everyone knows the relationship at Haas between Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin is already incendiary, but things seem to also be getting ugly at Aston Martin as Lance Stroll has been getting his elbows out against his teammate Sebastian Vettel. All of this and more for a Grand Prix where there is PLENTY to talk about! Tune in and enjoy!

Ep265 - Orange Is the New Max | #DutchGP
08/09/2021 Duración: 01h27minTune in for our recap of the F1 Dutch Grand Prix! The bass was in the place at Zandvoort! The atmosphere was electric, and it clearly rubbed off on the commentators who were all having a blast on the broadcast. We pulled tons of ridiculous sound clips and stories. Fernando Alonso showed the grid the proper line for the banked turn 3. Robert Kubica was back in the Alfa Romeo. Max Verstappen had a lovely tribute helmet and a mega weekend. We learned that Helmut Marko is a legend in the Ibiza Nightclubs, and Christian Horner is a beach bum. Red Bull was snitching on Mercedes in Qualifying. Pierre Gasly had himself a weekend. Sergio Perez should not have been Driver of the Day. Nico Rosberg is obsessed with peeing in race suits. Ted Kravitz is a great hype man. Lance Stroll loves to yell at Brad. We all need to go to the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix ASAP! Lots of questions were answered too: Is Valtteri Bottas too nice? What is it with Alpine and plastic bags? Did anybody have more fun than Tiësto? Does Lewis Hamil

Next, we discuss some fun facts about Zandvoort (specifically, the short pit lane and banked turns). All the journalists and photographers are raving about the bean machines, and we do a deep dive on coffee. Promoters are asking all the spectators to ride bikes to the track. Track limits won't factor in because the circuit actually uses gravel runoff. A dildo company has a huge banner near the Tarzan corner with a purple vibrator. The Orange Army are donning orange capes. Drivers have mixed opinions about the impending fog of orange flares. Basically, this weekend is going to be crazy! Finally, we build the Formula B
