Episodios

  • Cultivating Relationships

    15/04/2018

The two most important things in life are: love God and love people (Matthew 22:37-39). Jesus summarized all the commandments in those two commands. We are created to love God and people. Relationships are a big emphasis in the Bible. Relationships are a crucial part of life so it is essential that we understand them from God’s perspective. When God created us in His image, he created us with a need and a desire to have healthy relationships. In this new series, we will look at our relationship with God, with family, the church, and with the world.

    11/04/2018

Encouragement keeps the ministry alive. Discouragement and sin steals joy and dims perspective, but community builds the joy back up. Encouragement is not just compliments, but sharing wisdom and perspective from life experiences founded on biblical truths to build one another up. 1. Ask God to make you an encourager. 2. Study Barnabas in Acts 4 3. Make it a daily discipline. 4. Ask God to show you who to encourage. 5. Regularly encourage your Pastor or anyone, that God uses to speak to you.

  • Abigail, a Woman of Wisdom

    25/03/2018

Scripture presents Abigail as a beautiful, intelligent woman whose lot in life is one of being married to a rich fool named Nabal. Nabal was cruel and mean. Abigail reveals how wisdom and determined action need to partner in order to save good people from disaster. Being wise in itself may not be sufficient in some situations. Without taking immediate action, it is possible to simply stand by and watch destruction that could be avoided. The action she took was on behalf of her husband and David. David had protected the Hebrew farmers from the Amalekites. Because of his kindness David made a request to Nabal (1 Samuel 25:4-11. Nabal insulted David and his men, but through Abigail, God constrained David from killing Nabal. Abigail showed wisdom in her:

  • Wisdom

    11/03/2018

James 3:13-18 is a story of wisdom presented as two completely different sides of the same coin, one that we still see played out in the life of a woman by the name of Abigail, who became the wife of David. There is the heavenly wisdom and the earthly wisdom.

  • Materially Rich and Spiritual Poor

    25/02/2018

Our churches today are largely in a "lukewarm" condition. There is very little of warm hearted spirituality. There is much going on in them, but it is largely mechanical and of a social character. Committees, societies, and clubs are multiplied, but there is an absence of "spiritual heat." Revival meetings are held, but instead of waiting on the Lord for power, evangelists and paid singers are hired and soul winning is made a business.

  • I Am the Good Shepherd

    10/12/2017

Like most people today, chances are you do not know any shepherds. For the first Christians, who were familiar with shepherds, the Good Shepherd was a favorite image to associate with Christ. In the Old Testament God was called a shepherd, and God's people the flock. God says, “I myself will pasture my sheep; I myself will give them rest. . . . The lost I will seek out, the strayed I will bring back, the injured I will bind up, the sick I will heal” (Ezekiel 34:15-16). Praise gets our attention off ourselves and back on God. Praise is a lifestyle, not an isolated activity. Praise brings us to a place of humility. Praise leaves no room for complaining and negativity. Praise makes rooms for God's blessings over our lives. Our spirits are refreshed and renewed in His presence. Praise paves the way for God's power to be displayed, with miracles happening and people being saved.

  • I Am the Door

    26/11/2017

A door is just one of the many metaphors Jesus used to describe Himself. In this metaphor He is the door through which the sheep enter the safety of God’s fold and go out to the rich pasture of His blessing. It is through Him that lost sinners can approach the Father. Most of the sheepfolds to be found in Middle East countries have no door; they have a doorway-the shepherd becomes the door, and entrance is only possible when he permits it.
