I also understand more deeply when there is an eruption of celebration for lasting in business, friendships, or dreams coming to fruition. Because it’s not always the beginning of a thing that speaks of its greatness but it’s the consistency, the growth, and longevity. • Why I lost even though I did everything right….

    13/10/2021 Duración: 36min

I very much lived in a world of "follow the rules" to get what you want. In school, in the community, at church - it was all about following the rules and guidelines that were set up for me as Black girl.  I saw it work for others, then I saw it work for myself. And this is where my journey of being "good girl" began. I begin to ascribe to the idea that as long as I did what I was told, expected by my teachers, society, the institutions, and the powers that be then I would get what I want. FULL STOP--- That is a lie from the pit of hell. A lie that led me down a path of people-pleasing, dissatisfaction with life, and frustration. Listen to this week's season opener as I talk about why I and many others continue to lose at life even though we do everything "right."

Listen as licensed mental health therapist, Danielle Moore of the Refresh Wellness Center, and host, Cameo King explore lack of accountability can destroy some of the most solid and cherished relationships.

  • What I'm learning about growth in this season...

    20/05/2021 Duración: 33min

A lot of how we measure growth and success can easily be categorized as fickle because there isn't necessarily an across-the-board accurate measuring tool for true growth. We can't solely rely on the quantifying of money or adding a healthy relationship as growth because there is so much more to a person than money and relationships. For true growth, we must consider the human element of spirit, emotions, and character. This is why this week I'm sharing what I'm learning about true growth outside of the numbers and relationships.

  • How scarcity mentality truly holds you back.

    12/05/2021 Duración: 24min

This week I'm sharing something that I've been working on and working through. It's something that can easily keep anyone in bondage and has kept me from living my best life, and might I add, being in alignment with God --- that is a scarcity mentality. Scarcity Mentality is the belief that resources are finite, that there is not enough to go around. This affects every part of our lives whether we know it or not, not just money but also opportunities that are available to us,  seats at the proverbial table, customers, and relationships.  Listen to this week's confession about how this mentality affects how we experience and show up in life, relationships, in our purpose.
