It is a journey that requires folx to face their trauma, limitations, and weakness. When this work doesn't happen, it often reveals itself in our relationships, usually by way of projecting and blame-shifting. More specifically I've noticed men's insecurities, lack of substance, and misogyny rearing its ugly head by suggesting and even advising women to carry these issues. Listen to this week's podcast as Cameo King, The Good Girl Podcast host, and Danielle Moore, licensed mental health therapist of the Refresh Wellness Center, unpack the blatant and subtle ways women carry the weight of men's issues.

Confessions of a former F-boy
03/03/2021 Duración: 43minWe have all encountered them. Some of us, have dated, been entangled, and heartbroken by them. Who are they? I am speaking of F-boys. This week, I had the grand opportunity to speak with a former F-boy and unpack his heart, mind, and perspective. I ask, the why, the how, and even the "how can you sleep at night with this type of behavior?" Listen to the revelatory conversation of former and healed F-boy.

I believed my salvation was in a man
18/02/2021 Duración: 23minSalvation by definition is the preservation or deliverance from harm, ruin, or loss. For some reason, despite the concerted efforts of my mom & aunts, I attached my salvation to a man. I believed my ultimate and highest success and growth both emotionally and spiritually would only come in connection to a man. This is a very dangerous and unfortunate truth for a lot of women and individuals. In this week's podcast, I candidly share how this flawed notion affected my life and what I've done to change it.

How I am living with two opposing truths
03/02/2021 Duración: 22minOne of the most consistently challenging thought processes I have yet to come to terms with is cognitive dissonance or duality. The last couple of months highlighted the areas of my life where duality created constant tension. So in my 2021 season opener, I share how I and many of us, have come face to face with duality and how it exists in our faith and relationships and what I've decided to do about it.

So this week, I am briefly sharing why America doesn’t love Black women, specifically free black women.
