Cabin Fever - Fred Entertainment

This week the boys talk pythons fighting alligators, have special guests, flame-throw the in-laws, and give a quick re-cap of the fantasy league for all the folks involved. The 60 Second Music Review actually shows up this week, and Zolof The Rock And Roll Destroyer plays the show out. Warning: This podcast contains dramatic scenes and use of the C-word even more than normal. We advise that you gather the kids 'round for a tale before bed-time.

It's been a long day for the boys. Hectic schedules equal low energy reserves. However, it doesn't diminish the odd conversation. We have a welcome return of the "You Put What Where?" section, talk of fake appendages, and then engage in a rather embarrassing attempt to make sense of an air-pump/rectum incident.

The boys have an adventure with technology and call rock star Blake Rawlings about future endeavors, turn the show into and audioVISUAL piece, and also manage to fit in ramblings about sky-sex, Jamie-Lynn Spears, and Galaxy Hitchhiking. Music from Joe Doyle.

pHitzy has returned to Jay Edwards's loft in an attempt to rescue his friend Aaron Poole from the clutches of the vile gangster Dana the Snyde. Joining in on the proceedings are friends of the show Jeff Defalque, Ashley Zelzter, and - of course - Mr. Jay Wade Edwards...

It is a dark time for Cabin Fever. Although Ken and pHitzy have recorded a perfectly good show, the two rejects Dana and Aaron, in an attempt to stay relevant, spew rubbish for an hour. Many subjects are raised in an effort to hide their sense of rejection, but ultimately they fail...

The guys record this week's episode while "on a plane" (wink) on their way to DragonCon (wink wink). Recording in transit proves to be no problem for them, and they amuse themselves with talk of penguins (both the knighted and edible kind), Ravi Shankar's family ties, Zac's big news, and they also find time to reminisce about their angst-filled college days. All this and more before they even munch their in-flight peanuts (wink wink wink).

What do you get when you mix cough medicine, red bull cola, and cold Burger King? You get this week's mess of an episode, recorded live and in colour from pHitzy's basement. Many things are mulled over, including Jade Goody's cancer, the steward of Gondor's eating habits and LOST's missing mancunian. Music is by the apparently awful Funky Junkies.

Everyone's least favourite podcast returns yet again, same Fever time, same Fever channel. Due to popular demand, our cabin dwellers discuss their somewhat jumbled impressions of THE DARK KNIGHT, which seriously eats into their bulls--- time. Still, they manage to squeeze in talk of caffeinated food stuffs, Brian's unhealthy desire to meet Hayden Panettiere at DragonCon, cursed X-Box 360 games, Macaulay Culkin's "Oh" face, plus they throw in an update on one of their stories from yestercast. For those who still have not seen Chris Nolan's latest offering, and want to remain in the dark (knight) about the plot, the spoilers start/end times are approx 18:00 and 44:15. Avoid that chunk of awesomesauce and you'll be good to go. This week's musical treats come from The Vinny Club and The Teddyboys.

This week the lads come totally unprepared, even forgetting to plug in their mics for the first ten minutes of recording. A trip to the thrift shop supplies them with cheap but tasty biscuits to munch throughout, serving as perfect fuel for discussions on the Beijing Olympics, folks' fear of spiders, beer cans from around the world, Aaron's growing Russophobia, the sad loss of two legends in two days, and the imminent return of the Premier League. This week the lads get perplexed by a man's sexual habits, get shocked by what two girls do with their Wii, and get a little spoiler happy with the new X-FILES movie. There is music from Moth Complex and, as always, plenty of things you won't want your kid to listen to. Disgusted? So are we.

Despite the fact that we have a good song from Bad Poetry Minute playing out the show... there's not much else about the show this week that went well. Sure, we have a another taste-test. Yeah, we have some odd news from around the world. We even announce the start of the Cabin Fever Fantasy Premierleague competition. But try as they might, these morons just can't figure out what's wrong. Help us diagnose this mess by listening.

Aaron has an emotional plea this week in order to win back the love of a friend. The lead singer of Cabin Fever's favourite band, The Tastydactyls, needs to be told just how much we love him. In a heterosexual way (mostly). Of course, we have the usual talk of Koala bears, complicated chainsaw suicide, and Jason Patrick. But mostly it's about man-love. As always, there is music thrown in to break up the sexual tension.

In a shock to everyone's system, the boys return for the second week in a row. This week they tackle such serious and pressing issues as teen pregnancy, racism, and 5 foot tall bronze enemas. You wouldn't have it any other way. To keep your toes tapping, Marner Brown and The MattLees Band play some dulcet tones.

Brian has recovered from his dose of ebola and returns to help Aaron produce probably our geekiest episode yet. And that's saying something. The Cabin boys discuss missing feet, life on Mars, the word "flabbergast", and all things arachnid. To keep your toes tapping we have music from The Tender Box, MGMT, The Smiths, and Michael Buble... With our duo deep in the grips of Euro 2008 fever (Spain FTW!!!), they attempt to pull themselves away from the TV long enough to talk about such non-football related things as sex-crazed lesbian vampires, the best and worst bits of the new Gladiators show, which dead animals Brian would and wouldn't eat, OCD pigs, plus some advice on where not to hide one's heroin stash. They are joined once again by their household name soap star friend, Mr. Ian Cooke, who performs Google duties throughout.

While planning to record a show one evening, we thought it a good idea to invite some friends over for afterwards. A "post-show party" if you will. However, Brian, as always, was late and the party had already started by the time he arrived. Liquored up and determined to not let a little thing like alcoholism and noise get in the way of recording a perfectly good podcast, the following show was completed. Once the cold light of day, and harsh hangover, presented themselves we realised that we couldn't in all good sense let this abomination be considered a real episode and have decided to present it here (in all its ugly glory) to all those brave enough to listen as an example of what not to do with two microphones and several bottles of booze. Don't say we didn't warn you. So without further a do may I introduce the cautionary tale of "Cabin Fever Nights". Music provided by Richard Cheese and Lounge Against The Machine.

Do you remember Wet Wet Wet? No? We do. And we remembered them about 2 minutes before we started to record this show, which unfortunately led to us babbling on about them for a long time. We do have a lot of the regular stuff for you though. Stories about free airplanes, innuendo ridden nails in the head, and the good news that we can be your financial managers. And Wet Wet Wet. I can't stress enough how much Marti Pellow is involved. Chef Joel (creator of the Snydewich) was wonderful enough to create a splendor for us too.

Cabin Fever 26 was the greatest episode the guys have ever recorded. It had thrills, chills, and enough laughs to fill the stomachs of 7 small elephants. They discussed POLICE ACADEMY, the questionable nature of The Brady Bunch family life, plus they finally started their long awaited Cúpla Focal As Yiddish segment. Unfortunately, due to a technical error (Aaron spilled coffee on the mixer), the entire show was lost to the darkness, never to be heard by mortal ears. So instead, two days later, the disheartened duo threw together the piece of crap you're about to download. Try not to be too disappointed, folks.

Our demented duo return after a short hiatus and, due to rustiness, the episode gets off to the worst of starts - mics aren't switched on, audio is lost, and everything that can go wrong does until take 3. Undaunted, they manage to squeeze out an hour of infotainment regarding 13-year old geniuses, incarcerated donkeys, and the diplomatic power of Hello Kitty. All this, and they also manage a second installment of the much-lauded "taste test" segment, focusing this time on the almost mythical wax candy: Nik-L-Nips.
