Greetings listeners! We're back with our first episode for the brand new year, we've taken the last few weeks to enjoy some time off and plug away at several games that may have slipped under the radar in 2019 in preparation for our Game of the Year episodes. Those are a couple of weeks off yet, so join us as we tackle a week of surprisingly interesting news. Nintendo's theme park got a weird but fun music video, new downloadable content is coming to Pokemon Sword and Shield, several big games got delayed (including Cyberpunk after we finished recording), and Sony made the decision to officially skip E3 for a second year in a row. Kyran also tests Joel on the last decade of games by seeing if he can sort the 10 best scored Metacritic games from the 2010 - 2019 period. 2020 is already looking to be a crazy year for the video game industry with several heavy hitting titles due in the first few months and brand new consoles expected to arrive before the year is done. We're back with a new episode, this week featuring both Kyran and Brendan talk about taking up lightsabers in Respawn's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, don't worry about story spoilers because this is basically all gameplay talk. We're back after a week off where we ran our side gig as Kojima's delivery boys, we're not quite done on that front but we just couldn't resist getting an episode together for this week. That's right, every one's favourite time of the year is coming! The nominees for the Game Awards 2019 were announced this past week so we sit down and go through each category and pick who we think will win. It proved as a good opportunity to really look back at 2019 and realise that maybe its being brushed off too lightly. We also announce our stakes, so whoever loses this one is in for a fun time. Greetings listeners! On the show this week we've got a whole bunch of video game impressions as both of our hosts have actually had sufficient time to check some stuff out. Greetings listeners! This week on the show Joel's been spending a lot of time checking out Apple's new subscription service, the Apple Arcade, and it turns out that he is a big fan! He's been playing three games in particular, Grind Stone, Bleak Sword, and What the Golf plus he also touches on where he stands with his playthrough of Astral Chain. Meanwhile in Dope or Nope it has been a somewhat quiet couple of weeks so we focus on two main topics.Firstly, Bethesda announce a surprisingly pricey subscription for Fallout 76 called "Fallout 1st", it'll set you back about $20 a month and we just don't really understand who it is for. Secondly, Sony's approach to the PlayStation 5 also provides us some interesting discussion even though we are a couple of weeks late to tackle the latest news on that front.
