This Sunday, we discuss Exodus 2:11-24. In this passage we see Moses is a young man who has a heart to rescue or bring deliverance to people he comes in contact with, but doesn't seem to know how to fit in to this longing of his heart and find his place. We will discover why; …but more importantly, we will discuss what had happen to enable him to grow to the point, … where he could accomplish the longing of his heart and find the place in this world where he belonged.

This week we continue our series on Exodus. This book is the story of Moses, Israel’s deliverer who liberated God’s people from their bondage in Egypt. And, like Moses, Jesus is our deliverer. He can and will liberate us from all sins, individual and systemic, that oppresses our lives, our community and our world!!! This Sunday, my message is entitled “Life & Death.” In it, we will discover three decisions we must make that will enable us to live an abundant life in a culture of oppression and death. Don’t forget to be working on our memory verse: The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Here is the point: This week we begin a new series on Prayer, and as soon as that Bear became a Christian, he knew he needed to pray. He needed to thank God for the meal he was about to receive. And just like that Bear, those of us who are Christians,....we know we need to pray!

From the heart of Pastor Dave: Hope you are enjoying our series “Jesus at the Center,” where we are learning what commitments we need to make as individuals and a congregation in order to keep Jesus central to everything we believe, say and do. Over the past for weeks, we have made commitments to: 1. Recognize Jesus as the Savior, 2. Not just worship, but follow Him. And 3. To interpret the Bible in light of Jesus’ teachings and example. 4. To the Kingdom of Jesus over and above our commitment to any kingdom and nation in this world. This week is the second Sunday of Advent and we will celebrate the joy the gospel of Jesus brings to the world. We learn that there is more depth in Christ’s gospel than most Christians give credit. And when we fully understand His Good News, we can’t help to proclaim it from the mountain tops—it brings so much joy!

Hope you are enjoying our series Jesus At The Center where we are 9 we need to make as individuals and a congregation in order to keep Jesus central to everything we believe, say, and do. Over the past two weeks we have made commitments: 1. To recognizing Jesus as savior 2. To not just worship but follow Christ, and 3. To interpret the Bible in light of Jesus’ teachings and example. This week we discuss our commitment to Christ’s kingdom over the kingdoms of this world. Please read Revelation chapter 17; John 12:31; 1 Peter 2:9-111; Philippians 3:20-21; and Matthew 6:10 for this Sunday

To understand God, His kingdom, & its/His way, the entire Bible needs to be interpreted in light of the teachings and example of Jesus in the Gospels.

This week, we continue our series called “Jesus at the Center,” because He drives everything we say and everything we do as a congregation. To keep Him at the center of our church, we are encouraging all of us to make 8 commitments. Last week, we committed to Him as Savior. This weeks is called “Weird Pictures.” Find out how the weird pictures in Revelation 5 can help us commit to worship and follow Jesus.
