24/07/2024 Duración: 32minThe Toronto Blue Jays lose another game, this one being to the Tampa Bay Rays 4-2. Vladimir Guerrero Jr stays hot with another home run, making it four home runs in 5 games. The only fun thing that came out of the first game of this series, was that there was back-to-back home runs from Vladdy and Justin Turner. With Vladdy’s success, we review his career with the Blue Jays, and whether we think the Jays should give him a contract extension. Jose Berrios struggled with command, walking four batters but was still able to battle it out to give the Blue Jays a decent start. In this episode, we talk about the trade deadline as we are just under a week away, as well as breaking down the highlights and storylines from the first game of the Rays series. We have a jam-packed week coming your way, with a special guest making an appearance on the podcast later this week. 22/07/2024 Duración: 41minThe Toronto Blue Jays lose a series to the Detroit Tigers over the weekend. After this weekend, the Toronto Blue Jays are 2-5 against the Tigers this season, summing up the way this entire Blue Jays season has gone this year: underwhelming. Bo Bichette was hurt once again in the first game of the series, re-aggravating his calf injury once again, forcing him to miss the next couple of weeks. 19/07/2024 Duración: 38minThe Toronto Blue Jays kick their second half of the season off against the Detroit Tigers for a weekend series. Up to this point, the Blue Jays have been very disappointing, as they are 8 games under .500 and sit 9.5 games back of a playoff spot. Do The Toronto Blue Jays Have The Worst Bullpen In All Of Baseball? | Day 2 Draft Analysis
17/07/2024 Duración: 42minThe Toronto Blue Jays are still in the middle of their all-star weekend, so we decided to continue our mid-season rankings and draft analysis during this episode. The Blue Jays went pitcher-heavy this draft, taking four pitchers in the first six rounds of the draft. Johnny King was a pick we liked for the Toronto Blue Jays on day two, as well as grabbing catcher Aaron Parker for a middle-round power-bat for this prospect system. It was a good idea for this team draft a lot of pitchers, as this bullpen has debatable been the worst bullpen in all of baseball this season. With underperforming players, injuries, and unforeseen circumstances, this bullpen has been a mess since the start of the season. In this episode, we break down day 2 of the MLB draft and its implications on the future of the Toronto Blue Jays, as well as some updates from Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the all-star game. In the second half, we go over the struggles of the bullpen, analyzing what went wrong, and giving out letter grades for their pe

Mid-Season Review: How Much Of The Blue Jays Struggles Can Be Blamed On The Starting Pitchers?
16/07/2024 Duración: 45minThe Toronto Blue Jays are in the middle of the all-star week and do not play another regular season game until Friday. With this break during the week, we decided to go through the Blue Jays starting rotation and give them letter grades based on their performance this season. We graded these players based on their expectations, meaning we expect more from players like Kevin Gausman who received Cy Young votes throughout his career. In contrast, we did not expect as much from a player like Yariel Rodriguez, as he had not thrown in the MLB until this season. In this episode, we analyze the first half of the season from Kevin Gausman, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Yusei Kikuchi and Yariel Rodiguez, going over both the eye test and the analytic side of their games, giving a letter grade out to each specific player. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Just

How Good Is Toronto Blue Jays First Round Pick Trey Yesavage? | RHP Pitching Prospect| MLB Draft Analysis
15/07/2024 Duración: 42minIt was a big weekend for Toronto Blue Jays baseball. The MLB draft took place on Sunday, July 14th as the Toronto Blue Jays selected two pitchers with their first and second round picks. Trey Yesavage, is a 20-year-old right-handed pitcher out of East Carolina. With their second pick, the Blue Jays selected 21-year-old right-handed pitcher Khal Stephen out of Mississippi State. Trey Yesavage was the 11th ranked prospect in the draft, while Khal Stephen was the 88th ranked prospect, according to MLB Pipeline. Were these the right picks for the future of the Toronto Blue Jays? The Blue Jays had a series over the weekend against the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Blue Jays looked to win their third series in a row. Unfortunately, they lost two out of three games, heading into the all-star break eight games under .500. In this episode, we break down the first two rounds of the draft analyzing the Toronto Blue Jays draft picks, as well as going over the weekend series game by game, going over the good, the bad and t

Is It Too Little Too Late For The Toronto Blue Jays To Make A Playoff Run? | Giants vs Blue Jays
12/07/2024 Duración: 38minThe Toronto Blue Jays have won their second series in a row on this road trip, beating the San Francisco Giants 5-3 in the third game of the series. Kevin Gausman looked like prime Gausman in this game, eating up seven innings while only giving up 2 earned runs. He threw a ton of fastballs today, which seemed to keep Giants hitters off-balance. Spencer Horwitz and George Springer continue to be hot at the plate, as they started the first inning rally, with Spencer Horwitz adding a long solo home run in the fifth inning. Some big news came out today about Kevin Kiermaier as he was placed on revocable waivers. As we all know, Kevin Kiermaier has struggled immensely at the plate this season, which has not helped this Toronto Blue Jays offense that has struggled to produce runs. In this episode, we break down the third game of the Blue Jays and Giants series, who’s hot and who’s not, what revocable waivers mean and what Kevin Kiermaier’s future with the Toronto Blue Jays. Massive Blue Jays Injuries + Offensive Explosion: Are These Players The Key To Fixing The Blue Jays?
11/07/2024 Duración: 45minThe Toronto Blue Jays bounced back, winning the second game of the series against the San Francisco Giants 10-6. Chris Bassitt struggled within the first two innings of his day, throwing over 60 pitches in two innings and struggling with command early on. He did fight back to give the Blue Jays a serviceable start by pitching five innings of three-run ball. Ernie Clement did it again, he hit another three-run home run to the exact same spot of the ballpark, on another breaking pitch low and in. One problem for the Blue Jays today was the injury bug struck three players with Kevin Kiermaier, Bo Bichette, and Daulton Varsho all looking uncomfortable after their respective plays. On a positive note, the offense came to play. 14 hits and 10 runs, 7 of them being off Logan Webb who is leading the NL in innings pitched. In this episode, we recap the second game of the Blue Jays and Giants series, cover all the injuries from this game, the trade deadline direction, and analyze Blue Jays legend Tim Mayza. Your curre

Yusei Kikuchi’s Trade Stock Is Going Through The Roof! | Worst Loss Of The Season?
10/07/2024 Duración: 38minThe Toronto Blue Jays lost a heartbreaker to the San Francisco Giants after a wild pitch got past Danny Jansen in the bottom of the ninth inning. Again, for the millionth time this season, the Toronto Blue Jays got a great start from their starting pitcher, the offense does not do enough and the bullpen finds a way to blow the baseball game. With Kikuchi’s brilliance, his trade stock continues to rise. Should the Blue Jays trade him? What would they get in a trade package for him? What assets will they target? We answer these questions in this episode, as well as break down all of the big moments from the first game of the Blue Jays series against the San Francisco Giants; including the wild pitch, the Ernie Clement home run and the state of this current Toronto Blue Jays organization: Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Turner, Daulton Varsho

When Will Joey Votto Make His Toronto Blue Jays Debut? | Spencer Horwitz & IKF Breakdowns
09/07/2024 Duración: 40minThe Toronto Blue Jays had an off day on Monday for the first time in almost two weeks, so we decided to take a closer look at Joey Votto’s tenure with the Toronto Blue Jays. From hitting a home run off Zach Wheeler, to disappearing for two months to his minor league stint, this has been a wild first half for Votto. Spencer Horwitz and IKF have been two of the few positives of the Toronto Blue Jays in 2024. Even though Spencer Horwitz has been hitting over .300 since he was called up to the big leagues, Blue Jays management still has not allowed him to be an everyday player. IKF will most likely be shut down until after the all-star break, but will he be able to keep up his career year in the second half of the season? We also break down the series against the San Francisco Giants, as we will see some familiar faces in this three-game set. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose

Stealing Two In Seattle: Is George Springer Back? | Yariel Rodriguez Masterclass | Jays vs Mariners
08/07/2024 Duración: 44minThe Toronto Blue Jays win a series for the first time since June 16th, beating the Seattle Mariners 2-1 this series. This weekend of baseball has been the most exciting Blue Jays baseball to watch in a long time, with all three games being decided by one run. The Blue Jays starting pitching was very good this weekend, getting great starts from Yariel Rodriguez and Kevin Gausman. George Springer continues to be dominant at the plate, hitting a three-run home run in game three, tying up the ball game and allowing it to go into extra innings. Daulton Varsho put on a defensive masterclass, making an unbelievable catch at the wall and a diving-rolling catch in center to double up the Mariners at second base. In this episode, we break down the Blue Jays and Mariners series game by game, analyzing the big plays, performances, and moments from over the weekend, as well as doing an in-depth dive into George Springer and Vladimir Guerrero Jr’s performances throughout the season. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. *WANTS* To Be A Toronto Blue Jay For Life? What Changed From Last Week?
05/07/2024 Duración: 49minThe Toronto Blue Jays drop another series, this time to the Houston Astros, with a 5-3 loss yesterday. The bats looked alive in the first inning but the team couldn't get anything going after that. Bullpen Blunders: How Bad Is The Toronto Blue Jays Bullpen? Is It The Worst Bullpen In The Last 5 Years?
04/07/2024 Duración: 40minThe Toronto Blue Jays lost another game to the Houston Astros 9-2, and everything unraveled in the 6th inning of this ball game. It started with a horrible error by Zach Pop against the first batter of the inning, with a play where Pop simply missed a ball that was rolling at a snail's pace, unable to get the throw-off to first. After this play, everything went downhill. The Astros started stringing together hits, Jose Cuas was hitting batters left and right, and the bullpen completely fell apart, allowing 7 runs over four and a third innings. This offense did not show up either, only gathering five hits and two runs against Ronel Blanco and company. This game summed up the Blue Jays season: bad bullpen, bad offense, and good starting pitching. We break down the new batting order, individual player performances, and specific plays, as well as compare this current bullpen to another bullpen the Blue Jays had just a few years ago on this episode of Locked On Blue Jays. Should The Toronto Blue Jays Move On From Trevor Richards At The MLB Trade Deadline?
03/07/2024 Duración: 39minThe Toronto Blue Jays just barely held onto their 7-0 lead, winning the baseball game 7-6 against the Houston Astros. Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Spencer Horwitz, and George Springer stay hot, all picking up an extra-base hit with George Springers' 3-run home run being the biggest hit of the ball game. Jose Berrios looked great through the first 4 innings of the game, but pitching himself into a ton of trouble, allowing the Astros to score 5 runs in the fifth inning. A bullpen led by Nate Pearson, pitching 4 innings of 1 run, 0 earned run ball which was enough to keep the Blue Jays series hopes alive with a win. We break down the best hitters in the Blue Jays lineup, individual player performances, some more possibilities of trades, and all of the latest Blue Jays news and storylines on this episode of Locked On Blue Jays. Is This A Lost Season For The Toronto Blue Jays? | Buy Or Sell At The Deadline?
02/07/2024 Duración: 40minThe Toronto Blue Jays have a rough 3 game stretch of baseball, going 1-2 and falling even farther away from .500. Vladimir Guerrero Jr was injured, IKF was hurt while he was stretching and Bo Bichette looks completely lost at the plate. Yariel Rodriguez had his best outing of the season, pitching into the 7th inning for the first time in his MLB career. When the dust settled, the Blue Jays spilt the series with the New York Yankees and lost the first game of the Astro’s series, looking to win 2 in row to get the series win. In this episode, we break down the weekend games of baseball, providing you with in depth analysis of player performances and the latest storylines that are circulating the Toronto Blue Jays. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Turner, Daulton Varsho, Danny Jansen, Alejandro Kirk, Joey Votto, Erik Swanson, Kevin Kiermaier,

Who Will Be The Toronto Blue Jays Core Going Into 2025 | Will Vladimir Guerrero Jr/Bichette Be Moved
01/07/2024 Duración: 44minIt is no secret that The Toronto Blue Jays bullpen has struggled immensely this entire season. With Jordan Romano’s struggles and injuries, Yimi Garcia’s injury, Erik Swanson horrific start and other players subpar outings, the bullpen has been as shaky as it was in 2021. But the bullpen misery was led by one player: Tim Mayza. Tim Mayza had a 1.52 era last season, and this season it is over 8. This led to the Blue Jays making the decision to DFA Mayza on Saturday morning. The bullpen has been a big reason for the Blue Jays struggles this season, but so has the offense. These offensive struggles have led to a lot of theories about who the Toronto Blue Jays should move on from at the deadline. We break down who we believe the Blue Jays should keep, and how the Jays subpar play has created false narratives. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Tu

Is George Springer The Key To Reviving the Toronto Blue Jays Offense? | Ross Atkins Press Conference/Bo Bichette Trade Rumors
28/06/2024 Duración: 38minThe Toronto Blue Jays beat up on the New York Yankees in the first game of the series winning 9-2. George Springer has looked unbelievable in the last two games, having three home runs and EIGHT RBI during that period. Maybe John Schneider was right, but we will have to see if George Springer can continue to be productive before we pump his tires too much. Vladimir Guerrero continues to stay hot, with another home run and a double in the first inning. This offense was firing on all cylinders, scoring five runs in the first inning, with their first five hitters all scoring. Jose Berrios did what he always does by giving the Blue Jays a very good chance to win. Ross Atkins had a press conference talking about the roster contruction and the future of the Toronto Blue Jays. We take a deep dive into this as well as some trade rumours about Bo Bichette and the likelihood of him being dealt at the trade deadline.
