Number 2 Prospect Orelvis Martinez Gets Called Up To The Toronto Blue Jays: What Will His Role Be?
19/06/2024 Duración: 37minThe Toronto Blue Jays lose again to the Boston Red Sox 4-3. This one hurt. The Blue Jays had the lead going into the 8th inning before a Tyler O’Niell home run and a Ceddanne Rafaela single put the Red Sox up 4-3. Chris Bassitt continues to have consistent starts, going six innings and only giving up two runs but continues to be let down by the Blue Jays' bullpen and offense. In more positive news, Ernie Clement continues to have a hot bat, driving in two runners after a double into the left-center gap in the second inning. Orelvis Martinez was also called up yesterday, getting the chance to start in the absence of Bo Bichette, having a right calf injury. The Buffalo Boys continue to have the best at-bats on this team, giving Blue Jays fans hope for the future of this ball club. In this episode, we break down the second game of the Blue Jays vs Red Sox series, break down Orelvis Martinez and his role on this Toronto Blue Jays team, as well as other individual performances, storylines, and the latest up-to-dat

Where Has The Power Gone? Will Anyone Join Daulton Varsho In Hitting 20+ Home Runs This Season?
18/06/2024 Duración: 45minThe Toronto Blue Jays lose the first game of the series to the Boston Red Sox 7-3. Yesui Kikuchi did not look good today, giving up four solo home runs in his 4 innings of work. Justin Turner had a good day, going 2/3 with a double and a home run. Ernie Clement continues to rake for the Blue Jays, going three for four and getting his batting over the last 7 games up to almost .700. Unfortunately for the Blue Jays, this loss puts them 2 games below .500 once again, continuing the road to .500 for at least two more games. The Blue Jays look to get back on track tomorrow against Tanner Houck, who has had an unbelievable start to his season. In this episode, we break down game one of the Red Sox and Blue Jays series, go into the Blue Jays' power numbers, rate the Blue Jays offensive output and try to find a fix to the power situation, as well as bring you the most up to date information about everything that has to do with the Toronto Blue Jays. Did The Blue Jays Gain Enough Momentum To Turn The Tide This Season? Blue Jays vs Guardians Series
17/06/2024 Duración: 38minThe Toronto Blue Jays get a massive series win against the Cleveland Guardians over the weekend. At the start of the weekend, we were feeling a lot different about this team than we are right now. The Buffalo Boys had a monster weekend, accounting for ten of the Blue Jays twenty-one hits, with Ernie Clement and Addison Barger leading the charge. The starting pitching performed great, as they have all season, and we got something that we are not accustomed to: The Blue Jays scored runs! They needed all seven of those runs in the third game, as Yimi Garcia did not have his best stuff, allowing two earned runs and forcing Nate Pearson to come in and save the day. Overall, this was a successful weekend for the Toronto Blue Jays, looking at it from the big picture. In this episode, we break down each game of the Blue Jays and Guardians series, look at George Springer and Ernie Clement in-depth, get into some other important moments over the weekend and bring you up to date with the latest news and storylines regar

Bashed By The Brewers: Could These Young Stars Spark The Blue Jays Offense?|Where Do We Go From Here
13/06/2024 Duración: 52minThe Toronto Blue Jays lose to the Milwaukee Brewers 5-4. Brayden is back on the podcast, as he is finally back from his 9th vacation of the year. The Blue Jays pulled their best trick out of their sleeve, the fake 9th-inning comeback. Davis Schneider had a home run in the first innings, and then the Blue Jays had one hit over the next 7 innings. They looked really good in the 9th, moving the game-tying run all the way to third base, but they were unable to cash it in. Chris Bassitt had some trouble with command today, having 4 walks over his five innings, but he did not give up a run, which is the most important statistic for the Toronto Blue Jays. Zach Pop and Tim Mayza did not have good days on the mound, giving up FIVE runs for their combined one inning of work. Unfortunately, this means that the Toronto Blue Jays are now two games under .500, and will now have to sweep the Cleveland Guardians to get over .500. In this episode, your hosts break down the game between the Blue Jays and the Brewers, getting i

: Will The Toronto Blue Jays Claw Their Way Back To .500? | Pitching Masterclass | Blue Jays vs Brewers
12/06/2024 Duración: 39minThe Toronto Blue Jays win the second game of the series against the Milwaukee Brewers 3-0. As yesterday was one of the most typical Blue Jays losses, this was a typical Blue Jays win, with stellar starting pitching and a mediocre offense that produces just enough to get by with a win. Yusei Kikuchi struggled with command at times in this start, working into some jams but working out of them just as fast. A huge positive from this game was the bullpen, pitching four scoreless innings to keep the Milwaukee Brewers off the board. This bullpen performance was led by Nate Pearson who struck out the side while allowing a hit, and Yimi Garcia who came in and was very effective in his four-out save. Spencer Horwitz continues to impress from the leadoff spot, generating another two hits and an RBI for an offense that needs runs desperately. Skyler Peters joins your host Carter Fuerst as they break down the second game of the Toronto Blue Jays series, an insane performance by Yariel Rodriguez, some individual player p

Is This *LINE-UP SHIFT* The Key To Fixing The Toronto Blue Jays Offense | Blue Jays vs Brewers Breakdown
11/06/2024 Duración: 45minThe Toronto Blue Jays dropped the first game of the series to the Milwaukee Brewers 3-1. It feels like the Blue Jays have already played this game at least 30 times this season. Jose Berrios has a solid day, going five and two-thirds innings, and giving up three earned runs but got absolutely no help from this offense. You know there is a major problem with this offense when a guy the Blue Jays called up four days ago gets half of your team's hits and is also inserted into the second spot in the batting order. Another problem is that Vladimir Guererro Jr. throwing his bat into the netting was one of the more entertaining moments in the game for Toronto Blue Jays fans. Now the Blue Jays sit two games back of being .500, looking to win this series and get back to .500 for the first time since April. With this lackluster offense, host Carter Fuerst and special guest Dallon Wilton break down their ideal batting orders to try to help spark this offense. In this episode, we break down the first game of Blue Jays vs

Should Yusei Kikuchi Play In The NFL? | Blue Jays vs Athletics | Kevin Gausman Makes History
10/06/2024 Duración: 42minThe Toronto Blue Jays win a massive series over the weekend against the Oakland Athletics. This was a weekend of a range of emotions, from thinking the season was over after losing 2-1 to the Athletics after The Hound On The Mound was absolutely shoving, to a Kevin Gausman complete game shutout, all the way to an IKF legacy game and an insane hit stick from Yusei Kikuchi. The Blue Jays did what they had to do, by winning a series against a team that is not going to make the playoffs, even though it was a lot closer of a series than it should have been. The Toronto Blue Jays are off the Milwaukee for a three-game series against the Brewers, looking to get back to .500 for the first time in over a month and a half. In this episode, your host Carter Fuerst and special guest Skyler Peters break down the weekend series against the Athletics, analyzing individual player performances, key moments and our overall thoughts of the teams' performance in the big picture. What Did The Baltimore Orioles Say About The Toronto Blue Jays? | IKF Walk-Off Wednesday
06/06/2024 Duración: 41minThe Toronto Blue Jays walk off the Baltimore Orioles in the third game of the series 3-2. This was a huge win for the Blue Jays, as they now have a chance to split the series. Justin Turner hit a huge milestone today, getting his 1500th hit today, adding another accolade to a stellar career. He went 3-4 today, with a double and the single that would turn into the game-winning run. IKF continues to impress from the plate, gathering two hits, as well as two RBI and of course, the game-winning hit to put the Blue Jays on top. Jose Berrios continues to be one of the bright spots on this baseball team, having another quality start against a powerhouse offense in the Baltimore Orioles. Jose Berrios has now thrown for a quality start in eleven of his thirteen outings this season. We also go over some comments we got on our last podcast regarding the Baltimore Orioles' history, and how it can be related to the Toronto Blue Jays' current situation. We cover all this and more on this episode of Locked On Blue Jays.

Overwhelmed Against The Orioles: When Will The Suffering End? | Baltimore Orioles vs Toronto Blue Jays Recap
05/06/2024 Duración: 35minThe Toronto Blue Jays get pumped by the Baltimore Orioles 10-1. This game looked like the Toronto Blue Jays were a Triple-A team playing against a rock-solid MLB team, as this game was over in the third inning. On paper, looking at the starting matchups, we did not have a lot of faith that the Blue Jays were going to win this game considering the Blue Jays had a bullpen day and the Baltimore Orioles were pitching Corbin Burnes, a previous Cy Young winner. The Toronto Blue Jays have been outscored 17-3 in the first two games of this series, leaving your Locked On Blue Jays hosts feeling very frustrated and disappointed with the product on the field. In this episode, we break down the second game of the Blue Jays series and compare the Toronto Blue Jays to the Baltimore Orioles from multiple perspectives, as well as how we feel about the Toronto Blue Jays after the first two games of this series. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoa

Is It Time For The Toronto Blue Jays To Move On From Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Bo Bichette?
04/06/2024 Duración: 45minThe Toronto Blue Jays lose the first game of the series to the Baltimore Orioles 7-2. This game left us with one conclusion: The Baltimore Orioles are just a better team than the Toronto Blue Jays. Grayson Rodriguez dominated this Blue Jays lineup, only allowing two runs over 6.2 innings. The Blue Jays need to take this opportunity to gain some ground on the Baltimore Orioles and assert themselves as a team that is not to be taken lightly, but they continue to disappoint the fan base. Ross Atkins has stated his stance on resigning Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. What do you think the right decision is regarding Bo and Vlad's future with the Toronto Blue Jays? On this episode, we break down the first game of the Baltimore Orioles series, extension talks and updates regarding Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Bo Bichette, as well as injury updates and who we think will get the start in the second game of the series. This game just may be a must-win. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Playing Third Base? How Will This Impact The Toronto Blue Jays Lineup Construction?
03/06/2024 Duración: 42minThe Toronto Blue Jays won a series against the Pittsburgh Pirates over the weekend. This series looked like two teams were battling it out, with very similar talent levels. This is not a comparison the Blue Jays would want to have, considering the direction of these two teams and that the Blue Jays did not even have to face the Pirates' top two pitchers Paul Skenes and Jared Jones. In this series, the Blue Jays won a game that went to 14 innings due to the offense refusing to score a runner on second with zero outs. In game two, the Blue Jays looked like they were not playing a team from the same league as they got killed by the Pirates 8-1. Horrible at-bats and a tough start from Yusei Kikuchi were the contributing factors to this scoreline. In game three, Rowdy Tellez tried his best to win the series for the Pirates, but this offense did JUST enough to win this game and the series for the Toronto Blue Jays. In this episode of Locked On Blue Jays, we break down all three games of this series, individual play

Is Ryan McMahon The Newest Toronto Blue Jay? | New Closing Pitcher? | City Connect Jersey Reveal
31/05/2024 Duración: 39minThe Toronto Blue Jays have been linked to Colorado Rockies third baseman Ryan McMahon. The Blue Jays offense has not been good enough this season. Trading for a player like McMahon would cost the Jays a lot of minor-league talent, but their window is closing and Ross Atkins's job is on the line. If there were ever a time to make a trade like this, this would be the year to do it. Ryan McMahon would be tied for the lead on the Blue Jays for the most home runs on the team and have the most RBIs, so this acquisition would be an immediate positive impact on this Toronto Blue Jays lineup. Would you want the Toronto Blue Jays to trade for Ryan McMahon? What would the Blue Jays need to give up to make this happen? Jordan Romano has struggled immensely to start the season, posting a 6.59 era through the first third of the season. Every time he comes into a baseball game, he seems to make fans nervous and is giving up the home run ball at an alarming rate. We have seen with George Springer, that taking th

Alek Manoah Injury Concerns: Is He Out For the Rest Of The Season? | Series Sweep |Who’s Hot & Who’s Not
30/05/2024 Duración: 45minThe Toronto Blue Jays sweep their first series of the season against the Chicago White Sox, winning game three of the series 3-1. IKF has been on a tear recently, extending his hit streak to 8 straight games, driving in another two runs in Wednesday's game. In some unfortunate news, Alek Manoah left the game in the second inning with right elbow discomfort. We are praying that this is just a minor injury, but when it comes to elbow soreness on a pitcher's throwing arm, there is a good chance it can be Tommy John, which would keep Manoah out for the rest of the season, but it is tough to speculate. A new leak of the City Connect jerseys has surfaced, and Brayden has some interesting takes on the new look of the jersey. The Blue Jays go into an off day tomorrow, hoping to encapsulate some of the momentum they gained from this series and use it to their advantage in the upcoming series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. In this episode, we break down game three of the Blue Jays and White Sox series, individual play

The *SHOCKING* Decline Of Erik Swanson: The Reasoning Behind His Struggles |Davis Schneider Legacy Game
29/05/2024 Duración: 38minThe Toronto Blue Jays beat the Chicago White Sox 7-2 in the second game of the series. Kevin Gausman did what Kevin Gausman does, giving the Blue Jays another quality start, pitching six innings and only giving up one run in the process. Davis Schneider looked unbelievable at the plate today, having two doubles and three RBI. This team finally did what they should do to a team like the Chicago White Sox, dominating them in all facets of the game. The rain delay could not get the best of the Blue Jays this time, as they were helped out by the rain delay and saved one more bullpen arm for the last game of the series. In a surprising move, The Blue Jays option Erik Swanson down to triple-A, and reinstated Chad Green to the MLB team. It is not news to anyone that Erik Swanson has struggled this season, but what is the reason for his struggles? In this episode, We break down Game Two of the Blue Jays vs White Sox series, individual player performances, the downfall of Erik Swanson in 2024, and all the newest, up-t

Angel Hernandez Retires: Examining The Legacy Of The MLB’s Most Notorious Umpire | Jays VS White Sox
28/05/2024 Duración: 42minAngel Hernandez has finally retired from the MLB. What a career this guy had. The most well-known umpire in the history of baseball. Unfortunately for Angel, he was not known for the right things. We analyze Angel Hernandez’s career as an MLB umpire, going over his report card over his 33-year career. The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Chicago White Sox 5-1 in the first game of the series. Again, this game did not feel like a win. Nick Nastrini had an era of over 11 going into this game, and he almost got his first quality start of the season against this Toronto Blue Jays lineup. Davis Schneider, George Springer, and Bo Bichette all had home runs, but the Blue Jays only had 6 hits in the game. Saying this, the Blue Jays won a baseball game, and you cannot hate on that result. In this episode, we go over the career of Angel Hernandez, Game 1 of the Blue Jays vs White Sox, as well as the leaked City Connect jerseys; are we fans of these jerseys? Tune into this episode of Locked On Blue Jays to get a full breakdown

Are The Toronto Blue Jays The Laughingstock Of The MLB? | Welcome To Blue Jays Misery
27/05/2024 Duración: 46minWhat a series from the Toronto Blue Jays. This team continues to find new ways to lose baseball games. Sunday was the worst game of the year for Blue Jays fans. They were out of the game, then Cavan Biggio hit a home run and the Blue Jays continued to hang around, until the 8th inning where they scored five runs, capped off by a Daulton Varsho 3-run home run. Just when you think they might pull the comeback off, Yimi Garcia and Jordan Romano do their best Adam Cimber impressions and throw the game. The Blue Jays scored 11 runs in the last game of the series, and they scored three runs total in the middle two games. Daulton Varsho made two rough plays this weekend, lacking communication with his outfielders and allowing the ball to drop on both plays, which cost the Blue Jays runs that would cost them in the long run. In this episode, we cover games three, two, and one, the Blue Jays' struggles and our feelings about the team, as well as individual player performances. Your #1 Toronto Blue Jays podcast for fan

Will This Win Spark A Momentum Shift For The Toronto Blue Jays? | City Connect Leaks
24/05/2024 Duración: 43minThe Toronto Blue Jays stomp on the Detroit Tigers, beating them 9-1 in one of the weirdest games of the year. This game was not unique in terms of baseball, it was in terms of the broadcast. There was a massive power outage at Comerica Park that forced Blue Jays fans to have an interesting viewing experience. The Blue Jays might like it when there are power outages, as IKF, Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, and Janno all had great games at the plate. Kevin Gausman looked like prime Kevin Gausman today, striking out a season-high 10 batters in his six innings of work. This was the best Gausman splitter has looked all season getting some of the worst swings and misses we have seen all season. In this episode, we analyze game 1 of the Blue Jays vs Tigers Series, diving into player performances, broadcasting blunders, individual performances, highlights from the game, City Connect Jerseys, and News and Storylines going into the weekend. Who is over/underperforming? How will the bullpen look when reinforcements c
