My reward is with me. Paul, once laboring under their authority, sought to obliterate Christians from the face of the earth. It failed. God turned their hate upon their own heads when he destroyed the ancient temple in Jerusalem. Many were captured, others were sent into captivity to work the mines as slaves. They claimed to be Jews but were of the synagogue of Satan, Rev. 2:9, 3:9. Why was John, the apostle was told, "Do not seal the book."  The statement is found in Revelation 22:10. Why is this statement so much more urgent than those in Daniel 12?It's because John lived in the time of the fulfillment of Daniel's prophecies. Jesus spoke of reading the prophecies of Daniel. He said that in connection with the fall of the temple in the first century. This sent the  known world of that time into a tailspin. Yes, the saints were victorious. The Eternal Kingdom of Light manifested in the world in AD70. Following the age of darkness, i.e. the last days of the Old Covenant, Christ came in glory. The Book of Revelation describes the arrival of the eternal kingdom of God. In it, the God's glorious light shines eternally on his people and the nations as they obey him.
