The Late Shift's Steven Bell, The Doc Says' Chad Matthews, TRSOTP's Mazza and Plan and LOP Columns Forum Hall of Famer XanMan come together to hand out awards for the best of wrestling in 2016 so far.  With plenty of egos and outspoken LOP celebs on hand (4 CF HoFers and one sure fire first balloter) there will be plenty of strong arguments for and against people and matches.  Categories include, Best Team, Best in Ring Performer, Best Character and Best Match and more.  Available for download on the 7th August at 9pm UK/4pm EST. 

It's the first Fall Brawl, and, judging by the experience, one wonders how it got a second year. This is the rise of The Shockmaster. (His fall, of course, happened on his debut.)  Fall Brawl presents a War Games that starts off strong, with Dustin Rhodes fighting, one-boot-on-and-one-boot-off, against Vader. But it goes downhill fast. TLS trivia: Who is the former world champion who faced defeat back-to-back times he faced The Shockmaster?  Also, find out why we still think Rick Rude is overrated and why Ric Flair from 1993 is, according to mystic, coming off overrated. It's Fall Brawl 1993. We watched it so you don't have to. Give it a listen.

This week, Maverick and 'Plan give you a sneak preview of their forthcoming "addendum" to their popular "Big 4 Playlist" series from last year. They'll soon be adding several matches from the past year's Rumble, 'Mania, Summerslam and Survivor Series to their lists and writing an update column on them. In tonight's show, they break down Seth Rollins vs John Cena, Title For Title from Summerslam '15 and Dean Ambrose vs Kevin Owens, Last Man Standing for the Intercontinental Title from Royal Rumble '16. Among the issues they'll get into are the role of the potentially toxic role of the fan in modern wrestling, the proliferation of big moves and near falls in big matches, the return of the anti-authority babyface and the way that feuds should be booked to end conclusively. As always, there's forensically detailed analysis and a touch of mirth along the way.

The one where mystic calls 911 because Sid and Vader tried to murder Sting and Davey, and you just can't settle that with a wrestling match.  Yes, Beach Blast 1993 is known for one of the worst video packages of all time, but the main event isn't all that bad. Everyone not named Sid brings energy to this match, and we see the legacy of Vader continue to grow, as a whole section of fans are there to see their champ. Plus, former Horseman Barry Windham defends the NWA/International title against Ric Flair.

On this week's show, Mazza and Plan break down the first week of the new brand split in the WWE.  They start with a quick look at Battleground and in particular the Shield Triple Threat which seems to have been getting mixed reactions from fans.  They then go onto Raw and how it succeeded in getting a pretty much universal positive reception for the first time in a very long time.  They finish up by looking at Smackdown and how they couldn't quite replicate Raw despite good intentions. 

This week, The Doc is trying to forget the recent past while focusing an intrigued eye on the future.  Lesnar vs. Orton is coming up in four weeks and Doc is excited; he'll tell you why he is pumped in hopes that you'll join him on the hype train.  Doc is not, however, pumped about the Shield triple threat's presentation at Battleground, feeling that the match achieved a fraction of what it should have because WWE overbooked things around it.  Also, Doc will take a look at the new lawsuit filed against WWE by many former wrestlers.

Hold on to your hands, internet and podcast land, because we are BACK! With fallout from the Brand Split and WWE Draft surrounding the WWE landscape, Battleground could well be the last time that we see some matches between specific guys, as well as the last time we see some teams together as a unit. Add to that the controversial return of Roman Reigns as he steps straight from a suspension into one of the most heavily discussed main event matches of recent years, the Shield triple threat, and there will undoubtedly be PLENTY to discuss. It should be quite a show. Be that in a good way or a bad way... well, I suppose you'll have to tune in to find out what we thought.

Join us for Slamboree 1993 and the coverage of two matches from the June CotC (Barry Windham v. 2 Cold and Ric & Arn v. Austin & Pillman). Two themes are opening in 1993--the selfishness of Ric Flair and the reign of Big Van Vader. For mystic and mizfan, while unearthing legacies, it seems that Vader, even more than Sting, became "the man" in WCW when the former man (Ric Flair) walked out and took the belt with him. While WCW has instantly elevated Flair into the NWA title scene, it is clear that Vader, not Chono, Rude, or Windham, is the man in WCW. So begins a year where Vader will see sections of the crowd CHEERING him for his awesome athletic ability and Ric Flair will slowly make his way back towards the top of the company. Listen as we explore what might of been with 2 Cold, as mizfan talks legends like Nick Bockwinkel, and as we move deeper into the time when Big Van Vader ruled the wrestling world.
