National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed by Elise Soukup, for Newsweek magazine, on March 2, 2006, for an article later published in the March 20, 2006, issue, titled, "Polygamists, Unite!"  This 90-minute interview provided a comprehensive education of the principles and history of Christian Polygamy, the standard of Love-not-Force, the movement of UCAP, Unrelated Consenting Adult Polygamy, and how such various other forms of polygamy are each different from the doctrines and backgrounds of Mormon Poygamy.  Using his "sunny day vs rainy day" analogy, Mark Henkel detailed how the word, "polygamy," is a neutral noun that will have different premises, paradigms, and presuppositions based on the different adjectives that modify it - whether Christian Polygamy, Jewish Polygamy, Muslim Polygamy, Mormon Polygamy, etc.  Mark Henkel also elaborated on the  three modern-day  US Supreme Court decisions that make anti-polygamy anti-constitutional, and he also provided the history

National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed by Kim Bonney, for The 700 Club, on CBN, the Christian Broadcasting Network, in Washington DC, on June 28, 2005, for a report that was broadcast on August 16, 2005, titled, "Polygamy: The Next 'Right' to be Legalized?"   The report also aired on other networks on which The 700 Club was being broadcast, including TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) and the cable network, Family Channel.   The show had flown Mark Henkel in from Maine to do this entire interview on video at their Washingon, DC studios.  This interview was the source that made history.  In the August 16, 2005, airing of the segment, the show reported,  "Polygamy has a range of defenders, including  evangelical Christians. Mark Henkel is founder of the Christian polygamy  organization, TruthBearer.org. National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed by Rasheed Oluwa, for The Poughkeepsie Journal, in Poughkeepsie, New York, on April 16, 2003, for an article published on April 28, 2003, titled, "In marriage, three's a crowd -- and a crime." National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed for The Boston Herald by Jessica Heslam, in Boston, Massachusetts, on May 9, 2006.  The new fictional TV show called, "Big Love," had been successfully running on HBO during the previous weeks - so successfully that the network had then reported its authorization to begin recording for a second season.  The interview with this reporter seemed to be positive.  She asked genuinely good questions. "Is the show an accurate account of polygamy?"  "What myths does it dispel?"  "Has the show done more harm than good, or more good than harm?"  Mark Henkel provided numerous insights, including how the modern LDS try to get media to not accurately differentiate Mormon Polygamy from other polygamy, by removing the adjective "Mormon" so that reports sound like they are reporting about "all" polygamists in general.  Mark Henkel explained that, if the polygamy comes from (and uses) the theology (and doctrines) from the Book of Mormo

National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed for The Arizona Republic by Linda Valdez, in  Phoenix, Arizona, on July 3, 2006.  The reporter, having written previous articles about the Mormon polygamists in what Mark Henkel calls the "Mormonland bubble" of Utah/Arizona, was rather biased in her thereby thinking that "all" polygamy is supposedly associated with the crimes of the criminal cult FLDS, Warren Jeffs, and Tom Green from the previous years.  She learned much from this extensive education on many related issues. National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was on The Al Rantel Show (with John Phillips as the fill-in host) TalkRadio 790 KABC, in Los Angeles, California, on May 12, 2009.   Days earlier, on May 6, 2009, Mark Henkel's home state of Maine had become the 5th State to formally legalize same sex marriage in law.  (NOTE: thatMaine  law was subsequently repealed by a "People's Veto" referendum vote, later in the year, on November 3, 2009.)  The show's namesake host, who had been known as a public "gay conservative," had been out, due to severe medical issues. This interview took place in the month before the namesake host formally retired altogether.   The fill-in host asked many good questions as well as some stereotypical and silly questions.  Even though Maine's then-new law had just legalized same sex marriage that week, the law still did not legalize UCAP, Unrelated Consenting Adult Polygamy. National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was on The Ed Tyll Show, syndicated on the Starcom Radio Network, on December 30, 2013.  Earlier that year, the US Supreme Court made its decisions in the same sex marriage cases cases of Hollingsworth v. Perry and United States v. Windsor on June 26, 2013 .  Earlier from those prior two weeks, 2 landmark decisions (affecting only the State of Utah)  in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah had been decided: Brown v. Buhman (12/13/13, decided by Judge Clark Waddoups, de-criminalizing "de facto polygamy" in Utah) and Kitchen v. Herbert (12/20/13, decided by Judge Robert Shelby, legalizing same sex marriage in Utah). To discuss the impact of these court decisions upon UCAP, Unrelated Consenting Adult Polygamy, the host asked legitimate and positive questions.  Having been interviewed on this show previously, Mark Henkel's answers provided an even more comprehensive education on the issues of polygamy, marriage control, and freedom.  Ha

National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed by Branden Rathert, on Live Talk Radio on NewsRadio 1620 in Pensacola, Florida, on December 23, 2013, following 2 landmark decisions (affecting the State of Utah) during that prior 10 days at the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah: Brown v. Buhman (12/13/13, decided by Judge Clark Waddoups) and Kitchen v. Herbert (12/20/13, decided by Judge Robert Shelby).  The first decision had de-crininalized "de facto polygamy" (i.e., polygamous marriages without additional marriage licenses).  The second decision had determined that it was state-uncontsitutional for a Utah law to ban same sex couples from marriage.  In the latter decision, Judge Shelby declared, "The State of Utah has provided no evidence that opposite-sex marriage will be affected in any way by same-sex marriage. In the absence of such evidence, the State’s unsupported fears and speculations are insufficient to justify the State’s refusal to dignify the family relationship

National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed by Seth Harkness for the Portland Press Herald, on December 14, 2006, as the second of 2 interviews with him for an article that would be published in the December 15, 2006, edition of this local Portland, Maine, newspaper, titled, "In Maine, supporter argues for polygamy."  This was the follow-up interview to the first interview of November 29, 2006.   The reporter noted that he had since been told by leaders at Maine's Christian Civic League that their argument was that there are (supposedly) no examples of polygamy in the New Testament, that polygamy is suppposedly "only" in the Old Testament.  Mark Henkel easily refuted that by noting how Jesus self-described Himself as a polygamist n Mathew 25:1-13, something that the sinless Lord and Savior would never do if polygamy was a "sin."  At 21:33, after this second interview ended, the reporter called back that same day for last-minute details.  Mark Henkel used that calback

The reporter had read an Associated Press (AP) article that his newspaper had published days earlier on November 24, 2006, titled, "Polygamists Say Jeffs case Paints Distorted Picture." This hour-long first inteview for the Portland Press Herald provided numerous argumentations, explaining both Christian Polygamy and UCAP, Unrelated Consenting Adult Polygamy. Regarding Henkel's renowned soundbite that "Polygamy is the Next Civil Rights Battle," Henkel clarified,  "With my soundbite, oftentimes, people then suggest that we are 'riding the coattails of so-called same sex marriage.' National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was on Court TV Morning Radio with Vinnie Politan, on satellite Sirius 110, on November 22, 2006.  This was a callback interview (from previous apppearances on the show), following the trial of Warren Jeffs, the cult leader of the FLDS, the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints.  Opposing that cult and its leader, Mark Henkel explained how the hearing revealed that the trial was not even about polygamy.  Namely, at that time, Jeffs was only charged with forcing the arranged marriage of an unmarried 19 year young man to his own cousin who was only 14.  The host was friendly, professional, and made it adamantly clear that Mark Henkel and UCAP, Unrelated Consenting Adult Polygamy, have nothing to do with - and even outright oppose -  the real crimes connected to Jeffs and the FLDS.  As this was during the same week as Thanksgiving holiday in the US, the host made some fun final comments at the end about imagining the "holiday table" of polygamists

National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed for KIFI LocalNews8 by Karole Honas on April 25, 2006, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  Recorded as a "phoner" during the premiere season of HBO's show, Big Love, the veteran tv journalist was seeking both information and soundbites  for news "packages" that would appear over two or three nights of the local news network.  She was thoroughy fascinated to learn of the new movement of Christian Polygamy, and that it is unconnected to Mormon Polygamy.  Clarifying that, even though non-polygamous LDS do not like the "Mormon"-word being attached to Mormon Polygamists, Mark Henkel gave the soundbite, "If it's based on the Book of Mormon, it's Mormon Polygamy."  The journalist was very positive, professional, and friendly throughout the interveiw.  She even proclaimed, "I'm beginning to wonder if evangelical Christians might not be onto something. You're definitely very protective of no abuse, no children marriage, no forced-to-go brides."

National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed for Stateline by Kavan Peterson on September 23, 2003.  Stateline.org is a states policy focused reporting organization, founded by The Pew Charitable Group, that "uses evidence-based, nonpartisan analysis to solve today's challenges."  Conducted three months after the US Supreme Court decided the Lawrence v. National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed for CNS News by Randy Hall on March 6, 2006, for an article, published on March 16, 2006, titled, "Polygamy Is 'Next Civil Rights Battle,' Activists Say."  The call letters, "CNS," stand for Cybercast News Service; and, it is one of the most well-known conservative-based news services, founded by L. Brent Bozell of his conservative organization, Media Research Center (MRC).   After finding Mark Henkel's well-known soundbite, "Polygamy Rights is the Next Civil Rights Battle," Staff writer and Editor Randy Hall sought to report about it.  He interviewed Mark Henkel to find out if there was a connection between that soundbite, the polygamy rights movement, and the 2003 statement from Senator Rick Santorum (about how the "right to privacy" argument in the 2003 Lawrence v. National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed for The Washington Blade by Joe Crea on December 12, 2003, for an article, published on December 26, 2003, titled, "Polygamy advocates buoyed by gay court wins (Some see sodomy, marriage opinions as helping their cause)."  That year, the US Supreme Court had decided the Lawrence v. Texas case, and the Massachusetts State Superme Court had decided the Goodridge (et al.) v. Department of Public Health case.  This newspaper is reported to be the the oldest LGBT newspaper in the United States., and the reporter wanted to find out about and report on the pre-polygamy reaction to these court cases.  The resulting article from this interview was cited by various anti-polygamists, including by the "Family Research Council" (FRC) more than a decade after the article was published. (The FRC is a Christian political organization that has always been too timid to speak directly with Mark Henkel, but has referenced his work various times. ) Mark Henke

National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was on The Dave Show, on 88.9FM KUCI, on October 25, 2006, hosted by David Waldram, in Irvine, Califnornia.  Over the previous 2 months, FLDS cult leader Warren Jeffs, who had been on the FBI's Ten Ten Most Wanted list, had been caught, filling the news cycles with stereotypical and hostile reports supposedly "about polygamy."  The host, who also identified himself as an Interfaith Community Leader,  as well as a radio host and an independent documentary film producer, wanted to have a show discussing polygamy from an insider perspective.  The 20-minute pre-interview has also been included before the 54-minute live show itself. National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was on "talkSPORT Radio" from London, England, with (American-born) host Charlie Wolf, on May 20, 2001, two days after Tom Green had been convicted of one count of criminal non-support and four counts of bigamy.  This matter and this interview occurred before Obergefell v. Hodges in 2015,  before the raid of the FLDS cult raid in 2008,  before the conviction of  Mormon-based FLDS cult leader Warren Jeffs, and even before Lawrence v.
